Nordic Consular Cup Golf Tournament

In September, the CFCC alongside the Swedish and Danish Chambers organized the 12th annual Nordic Consular Nordic Cup Golf Tournament. With record breaking 116 golfers got together at Royal Ontario Golf Club in Milton.

Evening highlight was the delicious three course dinner and raffle that had 88 prices to be won!

The day was a great success thanks to the organizing committee, our sponsors, and all the participants.

Save the date for the next year’s tournament, which will be held at the same course: Thursday, September th, 2023.

 

The CFCC’s Quebec Chapter activities

The CFCC Board members and Quebec Chapter representatives Jacques S. Darche and Silvestrin-Racine with visitors from Think Tank / Finland.

In August, the Québec Chapter of the CFCC assisted and welcomed to Montréal a delegation of 18 representatives of Finnish municipalities and universities. Organized by Demos Helsinki, the Think Tank is preparing a report on the urban planning questions facing Montréal and its region, as well as providing ideas and solutions from the Montréal experience to what Finnish municipalities are experiencing. Among others, in the picture are Minna Karhunen (CEO of Suomen Kuntaliitto – Association of Finnish Municipalities), Daniel Sazonov (Deputy Mayor of Helsinki) as well as Victor Silvestrin-Racine and Jacques S. Darche, Board Members of the CFCC.

In October, a delegation from Team Renewable Arctic Finland (TRAF) came to Québec City on a trade mission with a focus on the maritime industry. The delegation was welcomed in Montréal by the Québec Chapter of the CFCC.
